Following a thread on the doctor who comm, I have a rather nebulous plot bunny lurking in my skull, but I'm struggling to pin it down and make any sense of it

Why don't you do a kind of missing scene thing so you don;t have to go into serious bits? Or change Utopia completely with the addition of the Hitchikers folks, so the ending doesn't happen in the same way (who knows, maybe Arthur accidentally knocks the Old Master down the waste disposal chute...)
