Jumping right into Buffy's hyper-agitated state set a tone of desperation to this chapter, and I enjoyed the Watcher/Slayer dynamic explaining her state. This was erotic and very entertaining, especially Giles' struggle to appear academic and aloof when he's really as on edge as Buffy.
