Why me?

 Well I finally got my surgery.  Even though it started out scheduled for 1pm (arrival at 11 am), then when I called to confirm it was pushed back to 2:30 pm with arrival at 1:15.  So I arrive on time only to find out that I've been pushed back to about 4pm.

And here I was feeling a wee foolish for buying 2 trashy novels to occupy my time, thinking

It sucks that the surgery wasn't as successful as the doctor had hoped. It's too bad that you can't just roll the costs into a payment for the actual knee replacement -- if only healthcare worked that way.

Here's to hoping that the next surgery leaves you in a better place.

(OH, I just read that you got the Nook Color... I'm jealous!!!)

Don't you love how doctors assume everyone else has all the time and money in the world, just like they do?
"Yeah, Sorry Dr. ASS! I have a job that that pays my basic bills, and I have to schedule around that. Go fucking play golf and fuck off". Don't let him bully you into surgery you're not ready for, time or money-wise. He works around YOUR schedule.

Ugh, sorry the surgery wasn't as successful as hoped. Fingers crossed that it will at at least be an improvement/decrease in pain.
