Dearest, I do not admire him either. While I feel weird that the President who was in office when I was born is now DEAD (man, am I that old?) I can't say anything positive about his presidency. I just can't share that with anyone.
I remember reading some time back that he spent more money painting flags on planes then on AIDS research. While I don't know if that's true, I know he didn't do enough to help with the AIDS crisis. I just cannot respect that.
I am sorry he had such a struggle with Alzheimers and I feel badly for his family…and I hope he rests in peace. But Ronald Reagan was NO saint.

but...but...president meese isn't DEAD YET! lol...

i think it's ridiculous to sanctify a president who accomplished so little through his own initiative. tax reform in 86? thank congress for that one. good sense of humor? speech writers, two of whom i know personally. ended the cold war? sorry, i credit gorbachev and the cia. oh, and the brezhnev regime in the 1970s for making it abundantly clear to the powers that were that communism was a complete and utter masturbatory waste of time.

best president EVAR?

hell no. roosevelt and lincoln died a long fucking time ago.
