I think...my computer was just FORMATTED!! (sortof..and by that, I mean mostly). I took it to the computer store and they didnt' format it last time..yet there is nothing on here!!! Except, I still have my administrator's profile..along w/ a few randomly found papers and pictures..but everything else is gone?? how can this be?? is it possible to

they might have done a system restore from way earlier in your computer's life?

though i don't know if that would delete files, because i've never used it.

It only restores system files, everything else should be untouched. So I don't think it would be System Restore.

It sounds like the computer store did a poor backup job and after formatting returned the spotty backup onto your computer.

Or some mass corruption of data (caused by the computer store or just a coincidence), maybe the hardrive is on the fritz. If you have problems saving things on your Hard Drive or losing things again this may be the case.

Or a virus.

It actually turned out to be that they created a new user account to access my computer; and in the process, they shifted my files to a different user account (apparently there are several on my computer.) Girish from microsoft.com's chat help aided me in figuring this out. Instead of being on Jessica.Ender, I now am using Jessica.Ender.000 ...RANDOM. I just copied all my files from Jessica.Ender (which at first, I didn't even have admin access to) and copied them into my Jessica.Ender.000 Folder.

I haven't even cracked open the folder to look at the sheet..but I can only imagine. I am working on my regression assign. and then off to the BA for work on our case study on tuesday in ISYS. Didn't he change the due date to like..next tuesday? I hope!
