Dear Mighty Holey Lord Gawd Margaret:

Oh Gracious and Giving Glorious Grrrl, I need some help.  I have only two days left on this horrible, horrible temp job and every fiber of my brain and body is telling me to screw the stupid thing and head out into this ridonkulous Spring Day with which You’ve blessed Your unworthy yet remarkably attractive ( Read more... )

Actually yes, I do. How? "Please God, please help me not to kill this damn fool."

In truth, I do try and pause periodically to say "Thank You" to (insert appropriate entity here) for the positive things that have occurred and are occurring in my life.

Every time in the past, when my knees have hit the floor, metaphorically or otherwise, things have gotten worse.

Hand to Margaret. So much so, I literally am now afraid to pray in the way most others do.

This is all I got for the moment. It almost works, too.

Gratitude is always good.

Since I don't have a Personal Margaret, I don't pray TO anyone. But I send thoughts and wishes at times. So I'll say a little prayer for you, while combing my hair now, or wondering what dress to wear now.

Thank goodness you're in Philadelphia, otherwise, I'd have to kill you when you got home tonight after that "remark"

It just so happens I am available as a personal rental deity.

And who better than I to advise on what dress to wear now?

I pray nightly after I get into bed. Mostly silently sometimes out loud depending on what is happening in my life.

At one job where they had no work for me I went to the restroom a lot. I would sit on the toilet with the lid down and read magazines and books for 10 minute sessions.

Mr. Guiser I can relate to your current difficulty with this temporary job. You are used to not being questioned or really even supervised. How dare these new people try to contain your free spirit! lol

You need to either adapt to your new reality at this job or move on. My mother tells me she keeps looking for a job that will send her a check and not require her to show up. It isn't going to happen Mary!

Will you be around next weekend?
