I've been meaning to essay on this for a while, but after certain events that have transpired, uh... yeah. It kind of needs it.
This...probably doesn't make any sense since I wrote this at 3 in the morning and I should probably review canon before essaying on such things but. I really can't help it.
Before coming to camp, Hiroshi was straight with side of Gay for Shuichi. Shuichi is his best friend, and he'd do anything for him, right? My knowledge of canon is admittedly smaller because I don't most of the series in English and I'm too lazy to read the scanlations I have, but from what I've seen, Hiroshi is always there for Shuichi, as a friend and confidant and...well. There's a scene in the manga where Shuichi's practically molesting Hiro, and Hiroshi pretty much lets him. Then there's high school, which...just goes to prove the Gay for Shuichi theory. I mean really, molesting your friend to get the girls to give you your way? A++.
Then Hiro came to camp, and the shit hit the fan, so to speak. He's gotten to know Tatsuha better since being here (since in canon I can only think of a few times they've met), and well... they not-flirt. Hiro isn't sure if Tatsuha does it purposely or that's just how he talks to everyone who isn't Shuichi, but he not-flirts back because he just feels like he should. And deep down, he does get a kick out of it, whether it's for fun or it's semi-serious or whatever.
Okay. My thoughts are jumbled on this, but let's see if I can sort them out. Hiro is curious. He admitted as much to Tatsuha here, after arguing over who tops.
Then later, he's acted on that curiousity twice - once was the mistletoe post - which admittedly, he wasn't too happy about because he didn't have a choice in the matter, but it did give him something to think on. Plus, uh, Tatsuha's not a bad kisser.
The second was the black-out post, where Tatsuha didn't know it was him. Or so he thinks. Anyway, Tatsuha asked him to prove he wasn't a zombie, so... he did so. And then after a brief conversation fleed.
At this point, Hiro is...I wouldn't say attracted to Tatsuha yet? But interested in a curious way? If that makes sense. He can admit to himself, at least, that Tatsuha is good-looking. And while he doesn't want to admit it to himself, he does likes kissing Tatsuha. Which scares him, because he's still of the opinion that he's straighter than an arrow and he has Ayaka and if either her or Shuichi finds out both he and Tatsuha are dead men walking and he wants to avoid that at all costs.
So, to sum it up, Tatsuha poked enough holes in Hiroshi's already semi-unstable heterosexuality to get him interested. And this interest will... probably grow, depending on how things go in camp.
