Br br br etc is kind of a written representation of guitar strumming... sorta... isn't it?!?

Well, it's not a form of strumming notation i've come across. there are often ones that look like THIS:

===Q===E===E.
e|-3---3---3---
B|-3---3---0---
G|-0---0---0---
D|-0---0---0---
A|-2---2---X---
E|-3---3---3---

where Q=quarter note
E=eighth note
E. = dotted eight note

now THAT'S CONFUSING... but br br br br br????? not that i'm aware of...

and i should know - i'm a guitar teacher now!! :D
