Insulation Followup
The job is complete. I am quite sore now from working at very odd angles, but the house is now insulated. Roof patching was the hardest part, but I think I got it sealed really well with copious amounts of Wet-R-Dri roofing cement and new rolled sections slipped under the old shingling. :D -
Insulation
After being told I can't insulate my house, I decided to take things into my own hands.
Tomorrow, I'll cut some access holes in the roof, blow cellulose insulation into the attic, then patch the rolled roofing. I expect to make up for the cost of this procedure in the winter months via electrical savings.
Hmf. Tell me it can't be done. -
Awesome Halloween
So, in spite of feeling like total dog doo, I wen ahead and themed up for Halloween. I hung three 59x70 window sheens on the porch in a somewhat rectangular fashion, illuminated by two black lights. My pitbull came extremely close to death this weekend. She developed a Pyometra. That is, a uterine infection. I noticed some lethargy and increased thirst on Saturday, but nothing that screamed "emergency". I planned on taking her to the vet Monday morning as a precautionary measure.
