One of my classmates died a few days ago. Her name was Haosi Wu, and she was home in China visiting her family. Apparently they went to an amusement park, where there was an accident: Amusement park accident kills 6 in China. Two of the others killed were her parents, which somehow made me feel better. Wow, that is terrible. I wonder if the park knew it was unsafe at all, or was it really just a freak accident? Argh.

Wow. I'm so sorry to hear this. :(

On the side note about the spies, I thought it was kind of interesting how they didn't really do any serious spying... and almost just seemed to be trying to enjoy and take advantage of their lives here in the US. It made me think of that movie Little Nikita.

I found this to be a very poignant entry. Every day we see news stories about some tragedy leading to deaths in some foreign land, or at least another state. It call all seem distant and even a bit unreal, given that movies and TV are filled with similar fictional events. I can appreciate how this was a loss for you. It certainly gives perspective.
