Movie Post 5-3

I have been lazy on posting my movie post and I am making a new post today. Enjoy, your comments are welcome.

  # 5 To Kill a Mockingbird
No book exposed the unjustice that was burried deep in the heart of the southern United States more than the shocking 1960's novel by Harper Lee. The movie released in 1962 exposed and showed that same injustice that lied deep in the south before the Civil Rights movement mades its call for freedom. The movie staring Gregory Peck, who won as Oscar for his portrail of Atticus Finch, is a lawyer defending a black client accused of raping a white woman. The story is told through the eyes of a child who knows little of the differences in skin. This movie is a film that still matters today and show people who've never dealth with racism what it means to come across true bigotry.

# 4 La Vie en Rose
A movie about a French singer never interested me in the begining but after seeing this film, it was extrodinary. Biographical movies about singers having become overly chliche; singer is fine, becomes famous, does drugs, has a relationship and loses it and then gets on the right track and lives to be happily ever after. But that's not how this film works, it might have similar elements in it but ends tragically without a happy ending. Life is hard, this movie is hard to watch but very worth it. Marion Cultiard, plays the Parisan singer and I honestly didn't know it was her playing the character. The film was called La Mome in France; mome means sparrow- Edith Piafs nickname.

   # 3 Saving Private Ryan
World War II is by far the favorite film for Hollywood to cover. Never in one time have so many tales of heroism, selflesness and patriotism have ever bodly braved the trying and painful times of the second World War. Steven Speilberg directs Tom Hanks and an all star cast of characters from all walks of life attempting to find and return the last of four brothers who served during the war. Risking death the men proved that during war men fight for their country but die for their friends.
