I am currently devouring the contents of a ONE pound box of MEXICAN COOKIES. I am not a gainer/feedee. But I understand why people tend to pack on the pounds when they go *cold_turkey with nicotine. I really don't feel like I need to have a ciggerette. But I have this overwhelming uncontrolable desire to do this nervous eating. Probably ( Read more... )

I have thought about the gradual thing. But for me since my dosage of nicotine is less than most. (I smoked *ultra lites*) Cold_turkey has worked for me. I was over a month tobacco free and started back up again coz I wanted to go to one of my fave nite clubs for goth sundays(yes I like darkwave/industrial music) and knew I would be tempted. Once you have stopped smoking for a while, at least for me, you loose the taste for it. I mean I gagged a few times!

I can't stand the smell of smoke, and I smoke. I also about gag if I'm eating and someone is smoking around me. I need to stop. I smoke ultra lights as well, but then I just smoke more of them when I'm stressed...lol.

we both smoke ultra lites! LMAO well past tense for me hopefully. yeah stress is a big trigger and I DON't get how some hardcore smokers do that while eating. I know I crave a ciggy after dinner but during? oh my YUCKERS!
Yes you need to stop! I will support you all the way bebe! I don't want my gorgeous greek goddess turning into a *leather purse! my mom said she was sad today.. coz of the passing of Peter Jennings. I think he smoked for 20 yrs or so. Yikes. Have been hardcore on and off for 3 1/2 yrs. But a pack usually (if not under stress constantly) lasted me for 2-3days. Its a hard addiction to break. the nic factor is a beyawtch. But its a waste of time and money. (I really cannot afford it anymore.) I can't wait to get to the 7th day smoke free coz thats usually when the nic-fits and cravings come to grinding halt.
