It turns out there actually WAS an Emperor of San Francisco, Protector of Mexico. Unfortunately that was about two centuries ago in the 1800s and he is long since dead. He had two dogs named Bummer and Lazarus and everyone loved him because San Francisco is weird like that.

Rest in Peace Emperor Norton I, we hardly knew ye.
