Salsa class

So I have been taking salsa classes at this dance studio (I used to take swing dance classes there but have taken a break with that). A friend from work and I go and I have had so much fun there. We are in the beginner class but at break and after class everyone dances together and it is loads of fun to dance with guys in the intermediate class b

I used to do both Ballroom and Latin and it's very sad... 4 guys and 30 women in a studio? I think Salsa is a better case... now I prefer to do styles without the need of a partner...

it is actually very good at this studio. one night there was even more men than women. but we generally out number them just by 2-3 so it isn't bad. We learn steps, and then get in a big circle and rotate partners.

I went to a swing dance the other night at a coffee house and there were actually a fair amount more men then women. I was happily surprised. I went by myself and ended up meeting like 5 guys I knew from various classes, it was fun.

I am not graceful enough for real ballroom. I am not good at keeping rhythm. But it is fun when I can stay on beat and have a good lead.

When I first started, I thought I am more of a ballroom person, but I am better at the Latin. From now on, just stick with belly dancing and pole...
