Actually, the way I heard it, the Kurds captured Saddam (apparently one of his wives and the mother of his favorite son kept emailing him asking for money, and someone traced them) and sold him out to the U.S. Dubya just gave the orders to bomb lots of stuff.

*prepares to be flamed*

Well yes, all the American media sources were saying it was a U.S. victory, but oddly enough, all the international new sources were running headlines like, "Kurds capture Hussein"

I'm going to have to agree that I don't think full credit goes to Bush for capturing Saddam. I think the American media was fed that for the positive publicity it gave Bush.

I'm not a Bush-hater, per se, but I think there is someone better out there for the job. I think he handled the immediate aftermath of 9/11 quite well; however, I don't think he is the brightest crayon in my crayola box and would prefer to have someone a bit sharper leading my country. John Edwards would be my pick right off the back, but I'm still interested and open to learn about other candidates.

I think some of the issues I have with Bush also stem from the fact that I'm more of a pacifist and also a believer in focusing more on domestic problems than international problems. Though the international problems do directly affect us, I don't think 3/4 of our budget should be focused on that when issues of unemployment, social security, health care, education, drugs, guns, etc are flooding our country.

That's just a glimpse into what I think.
