Didn't do much today. Stayed after for SWA: took our picture for the yearbook, and worked on stories for the morning announcements. I was supposed to go to the DMV today... which didn't happen. Next week I hope.

I say that we reinstate Alcatraz... I mean, most people went mad there and tried to escape, so it stands to reason it'd be a better place than these "correctional facilities"

We gotta go buy some big island somewhere and just ship all of our deadly criminals there. Just don't bother with anythign just put them there. If they die, who cares? If they live, more power to them, now they can create a new country with a tredy accent. No one can complain. They're out of the country, and we didn't kill them.

The problem I have with the death penalty right now is how much it costs to kill the bastard. We spent so much on the chemicals for a lethal injection to make sure he dies with some comfort. Here, buy a damned bullet for, lets get expensive, a dollar. And shoot the fucker in the head. Same end result. Much more effeicient.

Despite this,
There shoudl still be a bit of an apeal process. It would be terrifying to be on the stand for a death sentance and be innocent. THere has to be some way to be sure. I mean there have been many people taken off of deqath row because of proven innocence. This cannot be a trend to continue.
