i'm going through a palahniuk phase now! lullaby was the second book i read, and i really liked it probably for that reason. and i definitely agree with you on the similarity in themes. any suggestions for what i should try reading next, besides haunted? i was thinking about trying invisible monsters.

YES fight club is good, you should read it! the movie takes a lot of lines word for word from the book, so if you liked the movie you'll prb. like the book too :)
