Message come down from the VP of IT today. The student help desk is no longer allowed to open computers to work on them.

If this sticks, the help desk will be nothing but international students who pile up broken computers in the hopes that they will go away on their own.

Oh well, time to look for a new job again.

o_O How does that make sense? Not opening computers... sheesh! Sure, it seems most of my computer's problems are with the programs I run, but I know that every now and again hardware needs attending to.

...Or did I interpret that wrong????

Anyway, I'll join you in the hunt for a job. I'm stilllllll looking, too. :(

That does sound like a fail order if I ever heared one. That makes several of us looking for employment of some sort, eh? Here's hoping we're not looking for long. ^_^;

Well, I'm not fired or anything, and this will eventually blow over. But I don't want to work anywhere that such an order can be passed on to... the IT department.
