Had three great days at SIG this week. Weather was super hot (90's) high humidity, no shade, but had a blast, met some great folks from all over the Country.
If you are running a quick disconnect that looks like this, please consider removing it from your sling. Any amount of dirt or grit in there will prevent the ball bearings from seating. It may appear as though its engaged and locked when in fact it is not....give it a yank, it will come out. Hopefully you do not suffer the same result that I did on Tuesday when getting home from the SIG class. I got out of the truck, slung my Browning A-bolt and went to grab something else... This quick disconnector then disconnected and fell right off my back and the Muzzle of my most accurate rifle made the most horrible sound I've ever heard when it hit the asphalt. The butt of the rifle stuck on my hip so the only thing that contacted the ground was the tip of the barrel (at the muzzle) but not damaging the crown. I just about burst into tears....
I jotted down a ton of items during the course and have put them down in electronic format. Some may not make sense as they are just highlights, if something needs more info, just lemme know, would be happy to expand upon if possible. Also, none of these are hard/fast rules, they are just the notes I took, so take any of them with a grain of salt. Use them, Don’t use them… totally up to you, just wanted to pass along in the event someone finds something useful in here

With some time available at the range I was able to more carefully test the latest incarnation of the .300WM... I'd say its doing a "hole" lot better. It now sits with a Rock Creek barrel and a loaner scope on it. Most of the groups were similar albeit a tad bigger, this was the best one for the day though. Much happier with its consistency now.
