snm_queen asks, "Which do you wear more often, earrings, necklaces, or bracelets?
Well, I don't feel quite complete without some sort of sparkle, so I generally wear all three. But I tend to have a small collection of fine jewelry that I wear all the time, 24/7, and then I switch out other pieces to go with my outfits. For example, I have 10 piercing holes in my ears: two in the cartilage of my left ear, which are always filled with small sterling-plated hoops, and four on each of my lobes. Six of those holes are always filled with small diamond studs, so only the bottom hole is left free to wear earrings.
I wear a sterling chain bracelet that my father gave me almost twenty years ago on my left wrist all the time, no matter what else I'm wearing. I also have a ring that my mother gave me for my college graduation - a simple arrangement of a round faceted iolite flanked by a diamond on either side - that I always put on my left middle finger just before leaving the house.
Other than that, it depends on the outfit. If I'm wearing a high neck or a shirt with a lot of detailing, I skip the necklace. I tend to forget abut wearing either other rings or other bracelets, generally because I can't always fuss with a bracelet clasp with one eye open at 6am, or I take the rings off to put on lotion and forget to put them back on. So for as much as I love jewelry, I really don't wear much of a selection often.
Totally off-topic, but has everyone heard Adele's new single,
Rolling in the Deep? OMG, best song ever. Idk what's going on in this video, but whatever. I love how fabulous she is.
