"It's for real," Allie said once Nick had picked up. "I made a wish and it came true."

"Just... like that?" Nick sounded a bit bemused, but if Allie was actually sitting out in the sunshine, he wasn't going to point out how weird it was. She was probably well aware of how weird it was, really. "Just make a wish and the island grants it? Like some sort of genie or something?"
