Yowwza, my shoulder's sore. I had to go get a tetanus shot and antibiotics this morning, because the cat I was fostering chomped my hand. She wanted a piece of Pern and I was not about to let that go down and risk my girl getting sick, so I swooped in and grabbed her before she could inflict damage. Dr. S made me get all my shots when she found out what I did and then on top of that, I got a reaction to my tetanus shot. She also thought it was a bad idea for me to be vegan and tried to get me to eat fish (?) and cheese (?) when I told her I was fatigued and couldn't figure out why b/c I was taking iron pills instead of sending me to a nutritionist. I refused, after 10 years of veganism, to believe that I was suddenly anemic and asked her to refer me to a nutritionist. She did but in the meantime and thanks to the INTARWEB I realized my iron supplement wasn't working b/c I didn't have vit C present simultaneously. (There is a difference in iron absorption between veg iron and meat iron, FYI, and veg needds C present as a catalyst.)

Also, when I had an allergic reaction to bacitracin and had to be in the ER and have my arm monitored due to a new tattoo/using what I am allergic to on said new tattoo she told me not to get anymore, even though I had had 8 hours of work done already and the only time I had that happen was the

tetanus! jesse why can't you be my spellcheck? and yeah, i know, i was just like well DUH, there are obvious risks involved in just about anything! the way she phrased it was amusing though, she was like, "you really shouldn't take in strays." if only i could apply that advice to my love life ! har! ba dum dum.
