Parker was having hot tea and muffins at the Hotel Edo, and checking her Blackberry for what she had to do that week. She was also flirting with the barman, as subtly as she knew how.
Her phone rang, and she frowned, pulled it out, then raised an eyebrow.
"Parker."

Maybe this wasn't the greatest idea ever, but... if anyone would know how much trouble he was in, it would be Parker. And unlike everyone else in town, she hadn't been there last night.

Because in the four months since they'd met, he'd never felt the urge to do more than e-mail. This might be a good sign. Or a very very bad one.
