That's good. ...I don't have to keep the name the same, do I? It doesn't matter whether the cat's a guy or a girl; either way, there's somebody I'd want to name the cat after.

That sounds like a lovely idea, I think it's very important that you give something like a pet a good name that they can grow into. The names they've got now are just for the time being, until they go to their new families, but if you take one then you can give it a forever name that's special to you.
