Update on Ginger

The cancer cells in Ginger's body are traveling through her bloodstream. Where the cells come to rest becomes a new source of cancerous cells. This domino effect will likely become fatal in 3-4 weeks

I don't know what to say, so I will simply tell you that both of you are in my thoughts everyday. I think about Ginger and I put light around her and I hope in some ways she knows I am trying to comfort from afar. I want to reach out and help more but I would need guidance on how to be useful - I can help w/the grieving but will wait until asked. I'm so very, very sorry to hear of the prognosis and pain, for you and Ginger. I will hold you both in my prayers, for peace at the last.

In January of 2005, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the pancreas that presented in the bile ducts. Because of the advanced stage of her cancer (pancreatic cancer typically has no symptoms until it spreads to the liver or other organs) and her health (diabetes and Alzheimer's) treatment was not an option. She was placed in Hospice care and died at home 5 weeks later.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this.
