A Computer Experience
There's going to be a recycle day sponsored by Lexington County later on today (July 11, 2009).

Vista - my experience
I'm referring to the old new Operating System (OS) from Microsoft. Old because there is a Beta version of Windows 7 released, but new in the sense that Vista is the OS currently being sold*. Yet another 'P' Word
Play. Seems simple enough. It's what we did as children, usually with the words 'go outside and ...'. In the case of my children, it's how they got 'punished' - "quit reading - go outside and .....".
Just what is it that children do when they play? They learn. Not in the formal classroom sense. They learn by doing. Something. Or lots of ( Read more... ) -
Writing
One of the three "R's". Perhaps it's no surprise that writing and spelling are getting worse when reading, writing, and arithmetic are all lumped together as "R's"

Commercials
Not my favorite things in the world. Many of them seem to get more and more annoying.
Lately I've noticed that 'debt reduction/elimination' commercials have proliferated. that should eb no surprise considering the economy and the penchant for some folks to take advantage of situations to make a buck. And I do realize that possibly a few of the ( Read more... ) -
New Computer
It's been a while since I've allowed my self to get a new computer. The two that I use are both running Windows 2000 and AMD single core processors - they're about 5 or 7 years old. Ancient in computer terms. The Better Half's computer is the same vintage but is running Windows XP.
