I did A-Level Economics instead of Art. Got a C, could have got an A. Hmph. I think it's easier to pick up creative subjects once you're out of the rhythm of school life, though. I'm trying to write more, and properly, just now. Are you a member of doing_words?

I really didn't like Economics - despite being told that, as I got a 'B' at GCSE maths and was doing Government & Politics and History as my other A-Levels, I "should have no problems with it", I had real problems with most of the maths involved. When, after half a term, I wanted to quit and switch to another subject before it became too late, I was told it "would be a waste of the work I'd put in so far" and that was that. Bloody private school. That being said, bizarrely I got my highest grade in it [a 'D'], although I'm going to put this down to me being chronically unable to write decent essays and, while my other subjects were entirely essay based, a third of my Economics grade was based on a multiple-choice exam.

think it's easier to pick up creative subjects once you're out of the rhythm of school life, though.I'm going to agree with you here; although in my case I think it's mostly because I found structured education so suffering to my creativity and general interest in the subjects. As a perfect example, I've read more ( ... )

Actually, I suppose 'leave a comment' means more than a word?? Well I figured that I'd try and expand my music knowledge and friends by going to Truck... so I'm trying to expand my friends now by adding people I camped with/met... tis much fun :D
