I love making smoothies, and yes! frozen fruit is the way to go.

Greek yogurts are great. I also like to stick some flax seed in there, and if I want additional sweet flavor with a kick (and not a huge sugar hit), I add some finely chopped crystallized ginger.

Seconding honey as a sweetener - and it helps to put it on the yogurt, or adding it after the frozen stuff is blended, otherwise it clumps into a frozen glob.

I have a whole bunch of bananas in the freezer that are actually delicious all on their own when blended. It tastes just like ice cream, and if I want something more than banana flavor, I just sprinkle over with cinnamon.

Thank you for the tips!

All of the suggestions sound really good. And not just because I'm a little hungry right now. :D
