Funny how powerful good writing is, isn't it? On a side note, not only are you reading about characters you identify with, but most authors write about characters that represent aspects (or desired aspects) of themselves. I find that interesting, and somewhat comforting. :D
( ... )
Almost every author I have read from has made the main character 'perfect' in their own vision, mainly in the point of visual descriptions. Though I prefer some stories without any visual cues that cause you to lack imagination in the story and focus on those features (ie. black hair or something).
I doubt I'll ever be able to write my own story due to the fact that, similar to many people I guess, I always believe my choices are correct, even if they truly aren't. This makes it very difficult to vary one's characters. But I find it easy to roleplay (b/c I never write) about certain character cause 'they' tell you what they want, and I speak back to them, outloud even sometimes.
And thanks, I actually am going to use that decision-making info me thinks. For this decision I didn't take all that 'Learning Experience' stuff into account.
PS. I thik I am already past the point of oblivion, so comment away.
