testing stuff

just testing to see if my picture comes up. I'm still trying to figure everything out. How do I become a member of certain groups? I've still got a lot to mess with. If someone could help me or let me know they can see my pages somewhere that would be awesome

Hi darling! You are showing up on my friends page, bright and beautiful! The JumpFolks Community is located at http://www.livejournal.com/community/jumpfolks
At the top of that page you'll see some instructions reading something about "joining the community" which will be hyperlinked. Click on that to join and it will prompt you to ask if you want to add that to your friends page. That way you can read it when you click on friends as opposed to having to trek over to the page to see what's happening. Does that make sense at all? Sorry, I babble. Really just play around on LJ, you'll get the hang of it.

ok cool! Thanks, that makes sense now and helped me figure out how to join groups. I'm learning slowly but surely, haha...Does that mean everyone can read what I'm saying, or just people on my friends list or can other people in the community see it? Wasn't sure how that worked...Also, did my icon show up for you, it didn't show up for me for some reason. I'll figure things out. I'm excited to be a livejournal member now. Also, I've got cute pics from the weekend that I would like to put up and was not sure quite how either.

Right now everyone can read what you're typing because you have your entries set on public. When updating your entries at the bottom you'll see a message that reads "You're looking at the simple page. For more options, click here." That'll give you more options, and you can choose "friends only" meaning only Crystal, Amanda, Liz and I can read your entries. And anyone else you choose as a friend.

I just switched over to http://www.photobucket.com to host my pictures. It's really easy...you just create a (FREE!) account and upload all your pictures. One of the options is image hosting, so you literally just copy the url into your lj and the pictures will oh-so magically appear.

Yes, your icon shows up and it's quite adorable.
