One of the 48 laws of power is 'Avoid filling a great man's shoes', and I think that a lot of the negativity surrounding the UFO series is due to its trying to follow the X-com games.

I've played X-com, like what it tried to do, but was constantly frustrated with the lack of refinements. (I think I've played games on my CPC464 that felt more refined ( Read more... )

still playing, but am a bit stuck..
I need to retrieve some files from a base in order to advance my research, but *every* time I attempt the mission I get my arse served to me on a plate.
