Yes, I will be working with kids this summer. I'm going to be a counselor at a summer camp in New York. I'm so excited! It's 50 miles from NYC & there is a train station 5 minutes away so I can go into the city every Saturday night! & I'll be making $250/week. The camp director told me that was pretty nice for a camp counselor, though for the work we do, it is not enough. But I'm pumped. I think I'm going to be the arts & crafts girl, so I won't have to have one group of kids to live with and keep up with all the time.

wow. joy, that is amazing!!! though i will miss you bunches this summer. ): i made $250 a week at the y & that description is perfect - it's good pay, but not NEARLY enough for the work you put into it. but arts & crafts should be so fun! YOU'LL BE LIKE GAIL IN WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER!
