My yoga teacher, Joseph, is an atheist/skeptic, thinks very logically about what I need to work on. This seems to be very rare for yoga.

My Iyengar teacher had a similar approach. Not sure if that was a function of Iyengar or a function of her.
Iyengar is extremely precise and I learned a lot about body mechanics.

My doctor, a young no-nonsense Silicon Valley guy, recommended yoga to me recently. He noted that basically it's flexibility exercises, and men generally suffer severely from the lack thereof as they age. He didn't seem too concerned about mysticism.
