Wow, Dan, I don't even know how to react, but whatever's going on (and the whole keeping you in the dark thing is shitty) sounds awful and I wish I could do something to help you out. You can come and visit me in London on the way to Japan, if that would help? Your dad just seemed so mellow and chill and you mom sounds like just the opposite. Argh.

Your mom is nuts. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I've never had a good experience with her (not that I've ever met her, but unplugging the phone in the middle of our conversation, or taking your cell phone away and hanging up on me, isn't exactly the way to make friends).

There is talk of going to SMH tomorrow at noon to meet with some teachers if you want to come... I don't know if you are going to be over jet lag or not but it would be great to see you.
