Dogs really do make all the difference, it's odd, huh? I've always had them in my life somehow.

Maybe you could go to the ASPCA?

There are plenty of shelters around here and dogs I'd love to meet and see if they're a good fit but my parents don't want another dog.

What's the big deal if it was your dog? Clearly it's hurting you and you're responsible enough to take care of it yourself :/
