Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Jay has an average build. He's not thin, nor is he heavyset. Due to his mutation, he is rather muscular through the chest/shoulders and back however. He needs the extra power in those areas to make good use of his wings.
2. How old is he?
He is 17, will be 18 in January.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He holds himself casually, though he does tends towards body language that tells people to leave him alone.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He has 3 specific mutations, one of which is a healing factor. It is not as strong as Wolverine's, but it did allow him to come back from the dead at one point. As a side effect he rarely gets sick. He is pretty fit, and very good shape, he spends a lot of time training.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He moves like a typical teenage boy. When in the air, he is rather graceful and moves fluidly.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
He doesn't see himself as any more attractive as anyone else, but he really is pretty adorable
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Jay is a redhead, even if it is a darker auburn, this means that his skin tone is pretty light, and he tends to sunburn easily. He has a few small scars from generic childhood injuries. (Falling off his bike etc.) The only scar he has from after he developed his mutations is the bullet scar from where Julia's father shot him, and that is right over his heart.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
He has fairly thick, slightly wavy dark auburn hair. He tends to keep it longer than his mother likes, and she's often telling him he needs a hair cut. Truth is he likes it long and sort of shaggy.
9. What color are his eyes?
canon says his eyes are green, but his Pb's eyes are light blue.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He has a set of feathered wings that match his hair color, that when fully extended are roughly six feet wide.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
He tends to have a 'nervous stomach' not really enough to cause him to vomit, just stress nausea.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
He's pretty casual. Jeans, t shirts etc. A lot of that is due to not wanting to spend a lot of money on clothes that he has to cut holes in for his wings.

what he wears, fits fairly well. He's a teenage musician, so he wears a lot of skinny jeans and the like.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
He doesn't really have a 'job' other than being a student and trying to finish high school. He has a uniform he wears when he is training.

Jay wears boxers, usually the cheap kind that you buy in packs of three, that are several different colors of plaid.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
His voice is neither low nor high for a male of his age. In musical terms he sings as a mezzo-baritone
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He speaks evenly, and not overly loud. He only becomes loud or speaks quickly when he is agitated or during training when he can't take his time.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
He has a generic slightly southern US accent.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
He is only fluent in English

No
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He can be, he just prefers not to. The only time he does anything impromptu is during jam sessions and the like.

He can be very eloquent, he's very poetic when he wants to be.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He's smart, but not overly so. He's within the average range, but is working really hard on his schoolwork and it shows. Overall, he kind of naive about a lot of things.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He's fairly average that way too. He has a tendency to act before he thought things through though
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
He's logial, but idealistic. He's tries to do what makes the most sense.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
He's had mostly a public school education, and is working on finishing high school.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
He doesn't really have any areas he truly excels in except for music.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
He's a definite introvert. A lot more so than most of his family.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
He is pretty even tempered, even if his default mood seems to be pretty sullen and quiet. He's pretty driven when it comes to his training, and can be quite friendly and upbeat when around others. (especially Megan, which is one of the reasons he likes her so much, her positive, upbeat and friendly attitude is contagious)
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He tends to hang back and try to assess a situation before getting fully involved. That's part of his introverted nature.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
He tends to act without thinking. I think has more to do with his age than his personality though. He's a teenage boy, and he's still learning.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
It depends on the situation. With his family, it's often fight (though only verbally, Ma doesn't tolerate physical fights) If it's someone who he has respect for, he will do his best to get his point across. With strangers, he usually just lets it go, and may even literally fly away.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
He has a typical teenage boy sense of humor, nothing is sacred. Though he tries his best not to be crude or rude in mixed company, his mother instilled in him a respect for women.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
He has not been diagnosed with anything, but he does struggle with depression, and has since Julia's death. He even attempted suicide several times before his mother sent him to Xavier's.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Sam leaving for Xavier's made him feel, like he had to take over the role as man of the house, which he resented for a while. When Paige left for Xavier's it was rough on him as well, because now he was the oldest as well as man of the house. He struggled quite a bit with developing his own mutation, and hid it for almost a year and half before it became known, and obviously Julia's death has effected him greatly.
14. What does he fear?
Strangely enough, he doesn't fear death. He's died once already, and came back, so it can make him almost reckless when it comes to training, he's not one to worry about being hurt, and counts on his healing factor to take care of things. His big fear is being alone, growing up with nine siblings he's never really known what that is like, and it terrifies him.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
He really hopes one day to be able to have a family of his own, and to make sure Ma and his siblings are taken care of
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He doesn't want any of the other students about his suicide attempts before he came to Xavier's. He doesn't want anyone's pity.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
His father is dead, and he really misses him, even if his memories of him are pretty vague. He and his mother have a sometimes strained relationship, because she can see how he's still struggling and hurt, but doesn't want to push him either. He would do anything for his mother and siblings.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
YES. OMG YES. He has NINE siblings. Everyone of them he has special bond with over something or other. His closest bonds are with Paige and Sam however.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
There really aren't any other family members mentioned in canon, so I don't really know. There is Raymond and Raymond Jr, while they aren't family, it is hinted that his mother is involved with Raymond Sr, and Raymond Jr is his son, both are non mutants.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Raymond Sr and Jr like I mentioned above
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
He doesn't really have one at the moment, he's friendly to the other students, but he is kind of a loner.

He considers the Hellions, Megan and the other members of his training squad his close friends.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He's friendly enough, he's just pretty introverted and likes to spend time alone.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Definitely family, but friends are very close second.

HA! He's a high school student, he's single, never been married, no kids.

He's gone out with Megan for milkshakes but it's a pretty casual dating thing, and he's just kind of feeling out the situation to figure out where it's going.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
His first crush was a girl in his fifth grade class named Sarah Thomas, she had long blond braids, and would chase him up trees after school.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
The main thing is that there has to be a 'spark' something there that catches his attention, and it's rarely physical. There's a ton of girls at Xavier's that he finds attractive, he's just romantically interested in any of them. Megan has caught his attention though, and he's trying to figure that out.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
No, no kids, and therefore no grandkids, he's only 17. But he does want kids someday. Preferably a large family like he grew up with.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Not really no. Unless you count anti mutant group like the FoH, or the Cabot family back in Cumberland.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Jay is straight. much to JP's dismay I would say he is probably a good solid 0 on the Kinsey scale. He's not anywhere near homophobic, he just has no interest in other guys.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
He's a teenage boy, so he has quite the libido, he just keeps it under wraps. Right now, personal connection is more important to him. He's not actually a virgin however, he has had sex before. Once. Then she died.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
He isn't experienced enough to even have weird bedroom habits, and his turn ons are pretty typical for a guy of his age.
Beliefs

He doesn't really believe in that stuff, but he's a Capricorn, and that fits fairly well. (practical, prudent, ambitious, disciplined, patient, careful, humorous, reserved. But also pessimistic, fatalistic, miserly and grudging)
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Jay is a pretty faithful Baptist. He believes in God, and all the religious aspects that involves. His beliefs are pretty important to him, but he realizes not everyone believes as he does, so he tends to keep it to himself.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
He very much has his own code. He believes in honesty, and treating people with respect until they prove they don't deserve it. Most of this comes from his parents.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
He knows that not everyone believes as he does, and he's very tolerant of that. As long as their beliefs don't infringe on his own rights, he lets it be.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He's not really prejudiced towards anyone. Though he does have a rather well found dislike for the Cabot family back home in Kentucky.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
He has enough money to cover basic expenses, but not much more. He's not extravegant in his spending, and only really splurges for gifts for friends and family.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
His family back home are not very well liked, so socially they are pretty low, financially, they are roughly lower middle class, and have been so his entire life.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He lives at Xavier's, with his roommate Sam aka Squidboy. It is fairly neat and orderly for the room of two teenage boys, and there isn;t a whole lot of cohesive style to their room, they just kind of grabbed whatever they thought was cool without a whole lot of thought to decor.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Snacks, soda, gifts for friends and family
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He's a student and currently maintaining a 3.3 GPA, which he is convinced would be higher if it wasn't for his Chemistry class with Dr. McCoy.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
He true passion is music, and he spends most of non schoolwork time playing guitar or piano and singing. Either that, or writing songs. He has produced a demo cd, and is doing what he can to get his name out there and known.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He doesn't drink, he doesn't like the taste of alcohol, and with his healing factor there's no point in drinking, because it's difficult for him to get drunk anyways. He doesn't skip meals, but he doesn't have the healthiest of diets. He likes his junk food and sodas quite a bit.
