1) are you in contact with your close friends as much as you'd like? 2) How do you feel about sex in public places, when there's a risk of getting caught? 3) What do you listen to when you need to change your mood? 4) Are you allergic/excessively sensitive to any? 5) Isn't it grand? 6) Do you have a favorite metaphor for LiveJournal?
1) are you in contact with your close friends as much as you'd like? No. I've never been good at preventing life from getting in the way. It's one of my flaws, I think.
2) How do you feel about sex in public places, when there's a risk of getting caught? C'mon, a little risk adds spice! Too much risk is like overseasoning your food, and discovery like eating a bottle of curry powder.
3) What do you listen to when you need to change your mood? It cycles. Uptempo, positive-lyric songs are good for getting me going when I'm sad and sluggish; one example would be Deeper Love by Aretha, though Ella's Blue Skies has been known to make regular appearances. Angélique Kidjo's Iwoya is another favourite. I have a special love for Vivaldi's Mandolin Concerti.
4) Are you allergic/excessively sensitive to any? Not that I know of. I'm allergic to shellfish, which suggests possible drug sensitivities, but I've never put that possibility to the test.
5) Isn't it grand? Love is the grand thing; all else but a ghostly reflection.
1. Friends - Do you still play billiards/pool with your friends regularly? 2. Sex - What do you notice first about the opposite sex? 3. Music - Favorite music to dance to? Make love to? Get you out of a bad mood? 4. Drugs - Most overprescribed drug in your field? 5. Love - Is it as wonderful today as it was when you first met your lovely wife? 6. LiveJournal - Too much drama?
1. Friends - Do you still play billiards/pool with your friends regularly? No, but I've begun attempts to remedy that...
2. Sex - What do you notice first about the opposite sex? Gait, bearing, eyes, smile. "Spark"- that indefinable something that can bend your appraisal of everything else.
3. Music - Favorite music to dance to? Make love to? Get you out of a bad mood? I listen to, and love, so much music that I can best answer you by way of examples; there will never be a single immutable answer to that question. For dancing, I've recently been taken by Fergie's Voodoo Doll, despite various misgivings. For slow dancing, I'll give the example of Soul Sista by Bilal, from the soundtrack to the movie Love and Basketball. For making love, an ancient favourite was Art of Noise's Moments In Love, though camp, over-the-top suggestions (and I love being camp) would include Serge Gainsbourg's Je t'aime... Moi Non Plus and Nine Inch Nails' CloserTo get me out of a bad mood, favourite songs include those mentioned in my comment above, as well

1. Friends - What do you miss most about the lack of (liming) contact with your close friends? 2. Sex (a question in two parts)- What makes sex special? Part 2. Quality or quantity? 3. Music - What song most accurately reflects your current state of being? 4. Drugs - Have you ever used alcohol as an aphrodisiac? 5. Love - What does it mean to be in love? 6. LiveJournal - Are you addicted?
"1. Friends - What do you miss most about the lack of (liming) contact with your close friends?" I miss them, and their company; and I miss the sense of balance that sharing your life with such friends can bring.
"2. Sex [...] What makes sex special?" Sex is connection through sensation; and sex can be special because the sensation is special; because the connection is special; or (especially) both. If you have to pick one, pick connection.
"Quality or quantity?" Both. Each is a problem when you're not getting what you need.
3. Music - What song most accurately reflects your current state of being? Under protest- I can't choose just one, etc, etc- I'll choose "Drive", by Incubus. For me, it's a song about defeating fear through self-discovery- about finding the courage to "take the wheel" and steer towards one's goals, in full knowledge of the risks inherent in life. These are hard, uncertain times for me, and the song speaks to my current challenges and preoccupations.
"4. Drugs - Have you ever used alcohol as an aphrodisiac?"Yes
