But then on the other hand, I like the idea of having total freedom to do whatever I want. I don't have to meet anyone's stupid friends or pretend I like stupid music or have to watch bad tv shows/movies. I can stay up all night playing WoW or whatever without getting lectured at.This is a bullshit excuse. You make it sound like all girlfriends are a drag, and they aren't. Relationships are about compromise, and sometimes meeting someone's "stupid friends" or watching a bad show or two isn't THAT bad in the scheme of things. Especially if you're getting laid. :D There are cool girls out there that you may not even have this problem with

And I don't really have that much control over the volume of my voice. And being loud is just part of who I am. If I have to change myself for someone to like me I'll just get resentful.

Heh, well if that's the case, then good luck. Being resentful is very much NOT a good way to start a relationship! ^^

I think the most important aspect of the whole thing is finding someone who deeply respects you whom you know you deeply respect also. Someone who respects you will understand that WoW is a part of your life and will enter the relationship knowing she will have to amiably co-exist with it. Similarly, you might know that stupid TV shows are a part of her life that you will have to amiably co-exist with. &c.

i think a lot of people waver back and forth between the pros and cons on being in or out of a relationship. i find myself getting bored so easily...i know, i know this is coming from the girl who was with someone for 6 years, but i was bored for most of them. I just did not know any better.
i guess you just keep dating until someone peeks your interest, and when they don't anymore - get rid of them. it's not that horrible of an idea.
i don't actually think that anyone c an actually be completely taken by someone forever..or maybe i am just afraid of truly committing.

Life is a fucking catch-22. Fuck em all. Personally, I plan on dying insane, bitter and most importantly, alone, but that may just be me.
