Actually, no. No, it wasn't. It could have been avoided. But it wasn't.

I'll just have a mint julep. A double. With Kentucky bourbon. To go.

Some of those drinks sound pretty good, but me sitting in the same bar with people who need a 12 page drink menu, where each drink has a trying-to-be-clever phrase, is not a good idea.

I'm a simple drinker, give me red wines straight up, or nothing more complicated than a white russian or mudslide. This stuff is just way overboard!
