I'm not shy about my fondness for the international chanteuse Wing. (And I would kill anyone who hurt her feelings. She's a treasure.)

At last, someone has made public a video of one of her performance. It's about damn time.

Ladies and gentlemen, Wing performs one of my favorite Elvis Presley hits, "In the Ghetto."

I'm partial to the Shaggs' cover of "I Love," myself. I can honestly say I've got MP3s that sound like nothing else ever recorded. (Except for Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music, but let's not go there.)

Susan Orlean, who wrote The Orchid Thief, tracked down the Shaggs in their golden years and wrote a story about them for The New Yorker. Ineffably sad.
