Trust me, it did the same to me too when I agreed to do it in April or May. June-October was a pretty comfortable amount of time to get ready for it though. I'd even almost dare to say it's enough time for virtually ANYONE to get ready for it.
Now, 26 miles for a FULL marathon, that's a nightmare inducing thing even after having a half under my belt!
Thanks. If I'm still here next year I'll probably sign up to do it again, and if I run with the same people I'd imagine we'd definitely aim for under 2 hours. Our actual time will probably be around 2hr4min this year (from the time we crossed the start to the finish). Our recorded time was 2hr8min, but that was from the start gun (fireworks) to the finish line.
