One thing I discovered far too late about this new apartment--- I can no longer lay in bed or curl up next to the window and just listen to the raindrops pelting off metal gutters, down ancient drainpipes, and spilling out onto the sea of greenery below. Double pane glass and modern insulation have taken those simple pleasures of sound away from us

Unrelated question for you ... have you yet seen Shelby Sifers perform? She's such a cutie-pie! Anyway, if you have not yet had the pleasure, I would highly recommend checking her out. She's got a show with Nolan tonight at It's a Grind in Roseville. A bit of a trek, but worth it if you're free. I'll be there to hold down the fort if you're interested!

Where exactly is it? I've never heard of this venue before.
