Now is the winter of our discontent

Haven't had many opportunities to update lately. Working for the county means no more sneaking in LJ entries on the job, so it usually has to be something incredibly joyous/horrible to get me to update nowadays. Sounds like just a big ol' pile of smeg to fall on you at once. My thoughts are with you and, especially, your mom.

"Scrapings" ...err, like fine needle aspirates (FNA's)?
If so, while its true its not a biopsy where a huge hunk of
tissue is given to pathologists to diagnose cells within a structure;
it could be just enough for them to see what the naughty pancreatic cells are up to. (be it bad things or perhaps inflammation from some form of idiopathic pancreatitis.) Anyway, I can see the point of trying to be less invasive before diving into what's up. (And if you want it in a feline context, we were able to rule out neoplasia in my kitty just by taking FNAs, so less invasive isn't always a bad thing) :P

*mails you loads of dandilions and sends good vibes*

Thanks for explaining that way better than any of the non-kitty doctors did.

I'm hoping they learned something good (or at least something better than cancer.) My dad was supposed to call me before 2pm, and nobody's phoned me at all so I'm a bit worried...
