I've been having some odd issues with AVG too, I think the Resident Shield module is faulty, as I've had to leave mine disabled to prevent "focus stealing", which was interfering with -everything-.

I think its just a bum version, which happens sometimes.

Umn... You have two AV programs installed and active?

Please tell me I read that wrong 'cos that can cause all kinds of problems.

If you do have two uninstall one of them and hopefully it will clear up any issues. personally I'd keep Avira until the sub runs out.
