Sudoku tournament

There was a Sudoku tournament here last night. I think about 24 people signed up for it. Each round, they'd cut the field in half with whoever could finish the puzzles the fastest, down to 12, then 6, then the top 3, who got prizes. I ended up taking 3rd place, and won a $50 gift certificate to Best Buy. In the first 3 rounds though, I finished 3rd
