...Am I the only person who didn't love The Dark Night Rises? I mean, it was alright, it had it's moments, but I definitely had some major problems with it. And I just...liked The Dark Night much better.

Okay, so Bane was cool. And Catwoman was okay, though I wish she hadn't settled down in the end. And Robin was AWESOME, future Nightwing movie please? Please please? And, okay, I spent a lot of time wanting to cry because Alfred kicks ass and they made him SAD dammit.

But the whole thing seemed a bit laggy to me. Admittedly I was tired and a little anxious, maybe that coloured my enjoyment? But I mean, as much as I liked Bane breaking Batman, and vaguely enjoyed Batman raising himself back up, and  as awesome as that final fight was with Bane...what in the hell was that first one? Batman basically used the same punch over and over. I mean, Batman and Bane are both supposed to be, like, martial arts masters, right? I've seen that done SO MANY TIMES so VERY VERY WELL (Leverage and Sherlock Holmes, specifically). This was not done well. If it was just Batman repeatedly hitting Bane in the same really boring way as hard as he could, fair enough, but it wasn't. Bane was as well. The fight just felt laggy to me, like playing Skyrim and you suddenly realize you're almost over-encumbered, and maybe thats why you're moving so damn slow? I was actually bored during that fight.

Maybe it's just my taste in fights, I don't know. I prefer more smooth, gymnastic fights.

And the thing with the bomb, dropped in the water? WHAT. JUST WHAT. NO. That wouldn't--that's not a good--no. I cannot even describe all the ways in which I am fairly certain that plan would not work.

Also--and this is more amusement then criticism--is it just me, or was Commissioner Gordon the only person in all of Gotham that did not know who Batman was, by the end?
