How I finally got to watch POI...

... or can it really be that hard to get to watch a single episode of a series?!

Me and POI definitely were not off to a good start, but not because I don't like the series, but because I kept missing the episodes. :P Thanks to RL, I missed  the first four episodes and yesterday I've managed to miss episode 5 as well because my receiver died on me. ( Read more... )

I am totally confused on how your watching this. Poor quality vids and no subtitles...Subtitles for what?

www.thepiratebay.org is your friend.

POI is my second favorite show. Did you miss all my Batman posts last year? It IS very dark Knight and a mix of Skynet from T2. The show hits it's stride around eppy 10 and you go from that annoying show you can't put down to a show you're invested in. TPTB were not sure of a pick-up so a lot of the storytelling really begins mid season when they knew they COULD tell what they wanted to tell.

It is a show you must watch in order, esp as you get past 10. This isn't a fast food show. You're slowly drawn into John and Reese's slow growing friendship at a real life pace for two paranoid, broken, untrusting guys who are trying their hardest to redeem themselves.

Both men are very tragic, they'll get help, and there will be humorous parts, but that's part of the growth of the show. And yes, the show will hurt from time to time, but it is a good heart aching hurt.

I just google "watch POI episodes online free" and try the links that show up. Some usually don't work at all and some are rather crappy. I prefer to have subtitles whenever I watch eps/movies in English, because I always miss out on part of the conversation otherwise. *shrugs*

I've found good quality vids by now, but thanks for the link. :)

No, I didn't miss your Batman posts, but if you ever said that POI's similar to Batman, I missed that. I was just curious if it's just my impression or if others see it the same way.

The annoying books I was talking about are usually good ones - they are just annoying because they keep you up all night. I'm liking the series more with each episode, and I'm only at 1x04 so far. I like the slow and steady pace of this show, it's one of the things that draws me in so much. POI wouldn't have to do anything but keep up going like that to get me invested in the show, but it seems I can look forward to even more. :)

and to follow kristen999's comment - the Batmanlike feel of this show may stem from the fact that one of the Nolan brothers are involved. I did the same thing in the early episodes - squeed that Reese was Batman (with a cool batman voice)

And yep, while some of the stories are intense, it doesn't get too dark and depressing.

Silly me - I totally overlooked that fact! You're so right about the voice! I love Reese' voice and it's very Batman-ish. *g*

That's good to know! I think I'm about to really fall for this series and I would hate ending up heartbroken. ;-)
