Just some quick random thoughts, because I don't have much time for anything lately and don't want to end up not posting about the episode at all again. :)

[Here there be SPOILERS]I love Catherine! So. Much. She's great with Steve, she's great with the team, she's carrying her own weight, she fits in seamlessly everywhere, she doesn't intrude on Steve-Danny moments, and Read more... )

She's really good at never finding herself on the defensive, because she always strikes first.

This. Exactly. She always takes the high ground first and leaves whomever she's talking to floundering. I like that, but only because I like her, and she occasionally has a point about everyone belittling her. (Though I suspect she does it largely as a deflection for lying.)

I think she's done that to every single one of them by now, hasn't she? Cath, Danny, Chin, Steve... oh wait, Kono didn't have the pleasure yet! I can't help admiring Doris a bit, even though she would drive me crazy if I had to live with her... or even had to survive through a single talk with her. I can't wait to see how Mary's reaction to Mama McGarrett's "resurrection" will be.

I would be fascinated by her, but I imagine she can be annoying, yes :). Eventually, Steve's going to have to learn to confront her (he's not very good at it, he wasn't with Joe either) or there's going to be trouble.

All I heard there was "... MARY ..." :D

I'd love to see Steve learning to stand up to her!

Heh. Can't wait to get her back (hopefully for more than one ep)!

That's something I never thought of, but I really like that thought! It definitely would make sense to me then.
Hehe, I hear you! I always have that problem when writing fic, because my stone-age version of word is malfunctioning (it refuses to recognize the English language, so the autocorrect is always in German :P).
