Regrets and Non-regrets WOOOOOOO

Just a list of things I kind of regret doing! ;D ( Surprisingly free of emo and angst, if you're afraid of that kind of stuff! )

Regrets: Whatever insane mindset made me think that I would enjoy getting a degree in a faux-academic field like library science. XD I took student loans out for this thing and now I hate it and want to drop out.

I better publish a video game and get out of this thing before I actually have to get a job in a library.

Teehee, that last part made my heart happy. ;DD

Yeah, part of me regrets not applying to CSUF in high school too, but like I mentioned, at the same time I think that it was good to kind of get it out of my system and know first-hand that their program wasn't right for me so that I don't end up in a position where I am regretting NOT having gone to a UC or whatever. Of course, maybe I wouldn't have regretted that at all and would've loved CSUF from the start, but I guess, given my personality, there is always something to regret? Ha ha. _-_

I regret not paying attention to certain things. Like, it took me how long to realize onions mess up my gut? I'm 20, and my mystery gut sicknesses severely cut down since I started thinking "Oh hey, maybe it's onions?" THREE MONTHS AGO.

I regret not being born earlier. Because I want to ADVENTURE! And now anywhere I'd want to adventure to that doesn't involve a space ship or sub already has maps showing everything around there. What's the fun if you can't discover crazy things?

I also regret being a total spazz and getting distracted so easily. New years resolution was make a drawing every 3 days this year. I've done... 3 total :{

it's weird that asian are such bad drivers when we're serious about money. we continue to drive carelessly as if paying $500 for a dent didn't teach us a lesson the first time around ^^

I regret not going to a community college first to cover lower division courses and then transfer.

You know, it's not even that most Asians are CARELESS drivers I don't think so much as just NERVOUS drivers? Or maybe even overly-cautious drivers--we think and calculate too much that when we ARE presented with a situation where quick reflexes matter, we end up trying to create an analogy of the situation to the quadratic equation instead, or something. _-_() Oh, not to say that there aren't careless Asian drivers, hur hur.

Ha ha, I remember in high school, people in my honors classes who planned to go to community college were totally looked down upon. (Even though it was obviously the most cost-effective, and it's not really worth anyone's time to take GEs for a full private-college tuition or whatever.) Rolls eyes!! High school =_=

There you go! That's kinda my regret. Kinda.

I did just that. Got my GenEds out of the way at a community college. It was cheaper and all around a financially better decision. However... when people would ask, they'd say, "So, you're a student at the U of A?" and I'd kinda just sheepishly say, "No, well, I'm at the community college..." I felt like I was being SO looked down on. Like I was too stupid to get in or something. Which I totally understand WHY: most of my classmates were basically pot-smoking losers.

Well... I go to University now, so everything's fine and dandy in that category. But it still was an embarassing, patronizing time for me. ^_^; You know~...

Oh well, two years out of your life doesn't mean anything in the long run, but with an extra like $10,000 or however it was for the tuition money you saved, you could, like, have an extra car! :D()

I decided to just go straight to university because I already invested so much time in high school taking AP classes specifically so that I'd get a head start in college, and since I have more than enough grants to cover tuition costs and such (I actually profit $2000 per semester from the grants I get o_o!) it was actually more financially sound to go straight to university...???

Great post idea, Hanzie.

I honestly can't really think of any regrets right now off the top of my head.... But I'm sure it'll kick me in the ass come real adulthood. Maybe I'm just overly optimistic when it comes to these kinds of things.

I will probably regret....

- Not indulging more with my money at a time when it's still acceptable to mooch off your parents.

- .... and that's all I can think of for now.

Non-regrets: being romantically involved with all the jerks who broke my heart. Sure, they were jerky and I cried a lot, but it has definitely made me a stronger and better person, not to mention better equipped with a keener jerk-dar. :D
