Observation/perspective in comedy

Now I am no professional comic, but I find it rather odd and obtrusive to one's stand up routine if they finish their act by singing "Walking in Memphis" as seriously as they possibly can- am I alone on this one? I think not- the other employees and I were standing in the back asking "What the fuck?!" to each other while no one was able to provide

WTF was he thinking, from a comedy act to a song. he must have been high or drunk. Or maybe he thought it was funny.. Stupid people..
